Asbestos diseases generally takes years, often decades before any  adverse health effects are seen.

However instances of relatively young people in their 40’s and even 30’s contracting asbestos disease are becoming more common. A tragic example of this was Glyn Davies who died aged only 40 following exposure to asbestos as an apprentice electrican.
